    1. They were talking about it for about three weeks so it wasn't exactly unexpected. The surprising thing was that though the blizzard lasted all day the snow settled for approximately 20 minutes. Big disappointment.

  4. Oh yes, fb was full of pictures of children seeing the snow for the first time. There was one memorable snowman about the size of a small teddybear. It really was quite pathetic as far as snow goes - but the children were thrlled. In past years when we've had real snow, people bring their children in from Tel Aviv to see it.

    Herding cats: It is more snow but the last snaow was four years ago!

    Older Mum - Yes, every 3-4 years or so for about 5 minutes ;)

    Sarah, Yes to you aswell - there were a lot of very disappointed children in Jerusalem on Friday.

    ah lovely snow... as long as it doesn't last for weeks! we've not seen any proper snow up our way this winter, which has folk moaning, but how quickly they forget 6 weeks of the white stuff last year!
