50 Days Part 4 - Happiness Shows

After wearing one of my new dresses (the red one) described and pictured here, I can confirm that when you love what you're wearing your confidence soars. I had a great day feeling like I'd lost weight and looked great even though the scales have not changed much. Last night I took some more self-portraits in the mirror to counterbalance these before photos. Usually the camera hates me but I wouldn't mind lookinglike this when I turn 50. Oh I do look  like this!

  2. Isn't it wonderful that something that makes you feel good can give you confidence all day!If only we could bottle that feeling and bring it out on the not so good days. So glad you feel great and look great...

    1. Thanks Gilly. It's a bit silly really that just changing out of my tshirt and into a cool dress makes such a difference - but it does.

    1. Red is my colour. I can't wear cream or pale greens.

  4. Have just had a big catch up on your blog. You're looking great and definitely slimmer. It's great when it shows in your face first! Your friend is absolutely right about how we feel so much better when we make a bit more effort and it doesn't take a great deal to make a difference . I always wear eye make up - people treat you differently, I find, when you're more dressed! I noticed it when I stopped wearing suits and high heels and went to mother uniform casual. Somewhere in the middle works best and is worth the bother. Not long now to your big day. Hope you can keep up your incentive X

    1. I hope so too. I agree with everything you say. Suits and heels is a bit ott for a mum at home but too casual diminishes you somehow, as you say. Part of blogging about it is the fact that it's helping me to keep up the good work.
