It was taken about 10 minutes walk away from the Old City of Jerusalem so there is a Biblical connection, as well as the sukka (see above) hiding on the patio.
Steeped in culture, fascinating. Glad you don't have to sleep there! Thanks for your kind offer over on mine! The link to the blog (which is also the website atm) is in my post but I will tweet it you later :-)
What is it? Hope the holidays are good! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. It's a booth (sukkah). We are supposed to eat and sleep in one for the whole week of the festival.
ReplyDeleteI learn so much from your blog! :)
DeleteThank you - and I from yours. Btw, I won't be sleeping in one but we will have a few meals in other people's over the week.
DeleteWow that looks like something from the bible xx

ReplyDeleteGosh, what an interesting building. How long are you there for?
ReplyDeleteI live here but not in the apartment from where I took the photo. I've been here for almost 25 years.
Deleteare you going to sleep and eat in it for a week?
ReplyDeleteNo. We will have some meals in other people's and all the cafes have them but we won't be building our own.
Deleteooooohhhhhh - that is a great shot.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see it at night with a light in the sukka - i wonder if the shadows of the occupants would show up on the walls? Thanks you SAM.
