Kudos to my friend R who thought to bring toys and colouring things for the girls. I brought balls and a ride-on toy but they were more interested in the colouring.
We did - the sort of day you can only have when your child is too young to compare what they did with all her friends at school. I fear we will have to get a bit more adventurous in future years.
